"A Hero's Salute -Staff Sgt. John Beale"

"Killed in action the week before, the body of Staff Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City , Georgia , just south of Atlanta , on June 11, 2009. The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia.A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time. This was filmed during the procession by a State Trooper."

"Nowadays one can be led to believe that America no longer respects honor and no longer honors sacrifice outside the military. Be it known that there are many places in this land where people still recognize the courage and impact of total self-sacrifice. Georgia remains one of those graceful places. The link below is a short travelogue of that day's remarkable and painful journey. But only watch this if you wish to have some of your faith in people restored. Please share widely."

I think the requirements for President should be changed. One should be required to serve in the military before even considering running for President. Not by spending less than six months in their first political job where their associates are felons.

"The Sad and Ugly Truth............"

This was posted at a forum I belong to and it's a very interesting read.

"The Sad and Ugly Truth About Multiculturalism in America From One Who Knows"

American Suicide..................

We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado . In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington , DC, filled to capacity by many of America's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, 'Mexifornia,' explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California . He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America.

The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States. He said, 'If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy America.. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that 'An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.''

'Here is how they do it,' Lamm said:

'First, to destroy America , turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: 'The histories of bilingual and bicultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.' Canada, Belgium , Malaysia , and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, Corsicans and Muslims.'

Lamm went on:

'Second, to destroy America , invent 'multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. Make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal; that there are no cultural differences. Make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.'

'Third, we could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec ' without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: 'The apparent success of our own multi-ethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentricy and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.' Lamm said, 'I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to en sure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities.''

Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school.''

My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority.''

My sixth plan for America's downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods.

All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia, threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions.. Greece fell. 'E. Pluribus Unum' -- From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'pluribus' instead of the 'Unum,' we will 'Balkanize' America as surely as Kosovo.''

Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits. Make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I would find a word similar to 'heretic' in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like 'racist' or 'xenophobe' halt discussion and debate. Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-cultureism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of 'Victimology,' I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America , it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them.

'In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said, 'Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis' book 'Mexifornia.' His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don't read that book.

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate 'diversity.' American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America Take note of California and other states. To date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book '1984.' In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: 'War is peace,' 'Freedom is slavery,' and 'Ignorance is strength.'

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don't get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

Christian Audigier, Designing for the Mid-Life Crisis Crowd?

"Ed Hardy" clothing doesn't appeal to me, mainly because Jon Gosselin is sporting it and he's certainly not an attractive "model" for the line. So I find great amusement in the fact that the designer, Christian Audigier, was supposedly in talks with Jon Gosselin to design children's clothing. Yes, that hair plugged Jon Gosselin who is now only able to fulfill his mid-life crisis dreams because his wife Kate worked her ass off to provide him and their eight children with a nice home and money for college.

The really funny thing about this was that Jon was barely capable of figuring out what clothing actually matched when he had to dress his children. We're now suppose to believe he can design children's clothing? Don't you have to know how to put them on a child before you can design them? Of course reports I've read the last couple of days say they aren't going to be doing a children's line. Funny, I actually saw a video clip on television where Jon's newest arm candy appeared to be talking about doing exactly that. Perhaps someone at Ed Hardy had an epiphany and realized the stupidity of the venture?

Jon has now returned from France while leaving his second mid-life crisis bimbo behind. Daughter of his wife's plastic surgeon who performed her tummy tuck. Does anyone really believe she'd be hanging with a chubby married man, eleven years older than her, eight children, if she wasn't seeking some notoriety? Jon says he had to return to the US because the next season of "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" was starting production. Not a word about missing his eight children. Just got to get back to skulking around while Kate works her ass off so he can get a paycheck to pay for his new bimbo?

And wasn't it nice that Jon was able to jet off to France with his girlfriend while Kate stayed home with the kids? I do hope that "Jon and Kate" is in it's last year. I think Kate deserves her own show, and her own paycheck. Jon should be able to support himself, shouldn't he?

And here's something interesting. Don't Kate and Jon's new "friend" look a lot alike??

No, you don't

The Obama stickers are on the cars headed for the public assistance offices. Looking for what the government can give them.

Barry Six Months In Office and the Voters are Waking Up!

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/mood_of_america/trust_on_issues/trust_on_issues

Trust on Issues
Voters Trust GOP More than Democrats on Eight of 10 Key Issues.

"Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on eight out of 10 key electoral issues, including, for the second straight month, the top issue of the economy. They've also narrowed the gap on the remaining two issues, the traditionally Democratic strong suits of health care and education."

"The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that voters trust the GOP more on economic issues 46% to 41%, showing little change from the six-point lead the party held last month. This is just the second time in over two years of polling the GOP has held the advantage on economic issues. The parties were close on the issue in May, with the Democrats holding a one-point lead.
Voters not affiliated with either party trust Republicans more to handle the economy by a 46% to 32% margin."

Bored

Yesterday I was talking to my husband about something I'd read in the paper. Forget exactly what, but the conversation meandered until he said that I don't really yell. Which isn't exactly true. I do yell at the kids occasionally. If they aren't right in front of me and I find out they haven't done something I have told them to do, they will hear me yell.

It seems I've reached the point in life where I am able to look at others with amusement and just go with the flow. Not a lot to yell about. If it's something that needs to be changed or fixed. Do it quietly. No yelling or whining needed.

This morning whining did seem to be the point in the Letters to the Editor in The News and Observer. People are actually whining about the weather page? Someone who was originally from Buffalo NY is upset because the page has changed. The print is smaller and they took Buffalo off. Quelle horreur!! She will now have to consider not renewing her subscription to the newspaper. I don't understand why she just doesn't go online to weather.com, or to a local Buffalo television station.

Oh wait, another woman wrote in complaining too. She doesn't want to go online (at least she realizes that's an option) to read the weather information. My suggestion, turn on your television. It comes along every nine or ten minutes on a couple of stations. Try replacing the time you'd spend reading the weather page with a good book.

The funniest one today was one from a gentleman in Clayton complaining about the daily TV listings. He claims that the N&O is biased they have FOX news in the television listings, but not MSNBC, because FOX is a "right-wing listing" and that North Carolina is now a blue state. His last line in his letter was "Add MSNBC to your listings now!" If there was any doubt before it's obvious that he's a liberal Democrat from that line. Demanding, expecting whatever he wants because he said so! (Wonder if he stamped his foot when he typed out that last line?)

My television has a channel guide. Guess his doesn't. Or can't he afford a subscription to a publication such as TV Guide? Maybe he should put that on his Christmas wish list.
